To Whom It May Concern:

I am announcing my re-election campaign for the office of District Attorney of the 11th Judicial District.  I will once again seek the nomination of the Republican Party, for the 2012 election.   Having grown up in Can͂on City and now raising my family here, I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the communities of the 11th Judicial District.

The past three years as the elected District Attorney of the 11th Judicial District have been both challenging and rewarding.

For me personally, I am most proud of the recognition of my fellow elected District Attorneys, when they recently elected me to be the Vice President and President Elect for 2012-2013 of the Colorado District Attorney’s Council.  To have my District Attorney colleagues from around the State of Colorado to ask me to represent them was and is truly an honor.

For the office, I am proud of the fact that we have been able to continue to provide our high level of service under unprecedented budgetary constraints.  In fact, we have thrived despite the financial situation.

We have dramatically improved our use of technology, implementing a “paperless” office program that includes, whenever possible, receiving and providing law enforcement reports in digital form via. the internet.

We have maintained our core staff in-tact, avoiding unnecessary turnover and providing for valuable stability within the office.

Finally, we have met or exceeded our budgetary goals in each of the last three years, both by cutting spending in nearly every single budgetary category, while at the same time seeking to increase our allowable cost recovery rates under the law.

In short, we have served our communities at the highest level by doing more with less and we have been recognized around the state for our efforts.  For these reasons, I believe that both I and my staff have earned the opportunity to represent you and the rest of the 11th Judicial District for another four years.

I humbly ask for your support in that endeavor.

Sincerely,

Thom K. LeDoux
